Oratorij 2019 - Open air festival

Oratorij festival was held for the first time on June 1st 2019. I was there, where were you?! ;)

My compliments to the organizers! The festival was on the secluded location, on the outskirts of Ljubljana, near Šmarna gora. Theme of the festival was visually pagan oriented with totems, wood and fire. Very natural and cozy. I loved it.

Official festival message of the event was: "The program is dedicated to the elite local metal acts of the underground, raw and pristine performers of contemporary dark art. Join this unique music ordeal, support true art that knows no compromise and is uncompromised!"

Insomnium, Tribulation @ Orto bar, Ljubljana (Slovenija)

I first saw Tribulation live in Ljubljana in May 2015 and I was completely blown away by their performance! At some point I completely "fell into the atmosphere, the music" and at the end of the concert I realized I'm standing in the corner of the venue with my eyes almost shut, enjoying the music like in some kind of trans! I even forgot to take pictures. That's why I was impatiently waiting for this day to come, to hear the Tribulation live again. This time as well, I was blown away... I admire Jonathan for his energetic performance, as well as the whole band connection with the audience. I see some similarities in new album Down below with the previous one, The children of the night, yet both are my favourites. Maybe I like "Down below" a bit more. The first time I listened to the album, Nightbound was the song that somehow popped out and stuck in my head. I even had it on repeat 😊 Now the whole album is my muse and motivation when I do my art and my brain relaxation when I need to disconnect. Listen, and you'll know what I'm talking about.
I'm really glad I had the chance to meet the guys, they are so kind and I wish them all the best with whatever they will do.
Jonathan, if you are reading this, I do hope there will be an exhibition and I hope I get the chance to attend or maybe even collaborate! 😉
